GAMER2GO covers the games people play every day: Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, Fortnite, League of Legends and the other games in our sections. News stories come from the GAMER2GO Newsroom; guides, reviews and the forum come from the community.
Where our news comes from
- Developers and publishers: patch notes, blog posts, Steam announcements and official esports sites.
- Gaming publications and esports outlets: when a story builds on another outlet’s reporting or interview, we name the outlet in the text and link to it.
- Player communities: Reddit threads and community-run wikis on Fandom. We present what they say as the community’s account and say when something is not confirmed.
How a story is written
Newsroom stories are written with AI assistance. For each story the newsroom gathers the announcement, other outlets’ coverage of the same event and players’ discussion of it. A language model writes the article from that material only. A second editing pass checks names, numbers, dates and quotes against the sources and removes filler.
Automatic checks then hold back stories that repeat their sources’ wording, quote too much, are too thin or read like boilerplate. A story that fails them is not published.
Every story lists its sources with links at the end, marks official announcements, and says that it was written with AI assistance.
What we do not do
- Invent quotes, figures, sources or predictions.
- Present rumours, leaks or datamines as confirmed.
- Publish paid or sponsored content as news.
- Reuse other publications’ photos.
Pictures
Pictures come from the game’s developer, or from the player who posted them, and are credited under the picture. When there is none, the story gets a GAMER2GO title card.
