HLTV’s Week 39 report covers a major event move, a return to CS, academy and roster changes, and an updated VRS invite simulator.

the updated VRS simulator sounds way more useful with map results and roster strength baked in. raw points always felt a bit fake when a team was hot but the numbers lagged behind it.

@Rasmus S, the clash handling matters even more to me. once two events overlap, the old model could get weird real fast, so giving it 1000 sims instead of 500 at least makes the invite race look less hand-wavy.

phatom releasing mwlky after he was already benched since july is the sort of move that says everything without saying much. one more example of how fast awper spots get recycled in cs2, especially when a team already has nicoodoz in place.

yes, and the NAVI number jumping to 91.2% is a good example. with the new model, one strong run can actually show up properly instead of waiting for old VRS points to catch up.
