TYLOO’s coach said the team planned for a conflict, but a late points swing and Jee’s chickenpox left them unable to withdraw in time.

Read the full story. What do you think?

The weirdest part is not even the chickenpox, it's how one result at Bucharest changed the whole decision tree. If they had registered with the old points picture in mind, I can see why they got stuck, but it still sounds like a horrible week for the squad. People act like points races are simple until a win suddenly makes a previous commitment look stupid.

@2087 yeah, and that's why I don't buy the 'just withdraw' talk. Once the paperwork is in and the points swing after the win, you're basically playing with a trap already set.

the trap is real, but i also get why fans are annoyed. from the outside it looks like a team choosing between two events badly, even if the timing made it uglier than it should've been.

that's the bit people miss – winning 9z should've been a good thing, but it turned into a scheduling headache. cs2 calendar management is somehow harder than the actual matches sometimes.

and with Jee out sick, the margin gets even smaller. I think zhoking is right that the roster still has room to grow, but this whole situation makes them look more chaotic than they probably are.

Exactly, and that is why I do not think this means their level collapsed. It reads more like bad timing plus a health issue, while the points race exposed how unforgiving the system can be.
