Dexerto reports that players are chasing Fortnite’s ultra-rare Pirate Shop Access with exploits, automation and account sales after the Treasure Hunters mini-season reward went live.

the weirdest thing here is how fast the rare-drop rumor turned into a service economy. once people believe a prize is absurdly rare, they stop treating it like a game objective and start treating it like a market. that is when you get carries, tool ads and account sales all stacking on top of the same reward. epic probably did not want every chest opening to feel like a mini crypto grab.

PirateWaffle, i think the market part is more a symptom than the cause. the account-bound reward and the tiny window are what make every shortcut feel valuable, because there is no clean way to trade or target it. if epic wants less nonsense, they need either clearer odds or a less desperate path to the token.

clearer odds would help a bit, but the exploit videos would still happen. players always chase the fastest route once they think there's value on the line, even if the odds are known.

maybe, but hiding the rate just makes the community fill the gap with rumours. that is basically free fuel for every shady post pretending to have "the method".

and then the one guy with the shockwave clip gets 1 million views while everyone else is left opening vaults the boring way. internet efficiency at its finest.
