that Split comeback was nasty. once Liquid lost the second-half pistol too, the whole map just flipped and you could see them getting less confident every round

yeah, but the bigger issue was Liquid's midround after the pistol. they had no clean answers when G2 started reading the hits and the clutches came out

I think people are underplaying how good G2's discipline was here. On Abyss especially, they didn't force bad hero plays, they just kept taking the space Liquid gave them and converted the late rounds. That is why the 2-0 feels earned, not just a collapse from Liquid. The trent and BABYBAY clutches mattered, but the structure behind them is what closed the door.
