Discussion: GTA 6 launch trailer points to Jason’s military past, heists and prison ties

[GAMER2GO Newsroom]

IGN, GameSpot and Dexerto picked apart the new trailer, which shows Jason’s service record, Lucia’s ankle tag and a string of large-scale crimes.

Read the full story. What do you think?

The army shirt and the combat school name are the strongest clues here. If Jason really has a military past, Rockstar can use that to make heists feel like planning gone wrong, not just random mayhem.

@2069 yeah, and Lucia starting with the ankle tag gives the opening a real constraint. That feels more story-driven than past GTA stuff, where you were basically loose from the first minute.

I want to believe it, but Rockstar trailers always make everything look layered. The question is whether the prison and army details change gameplay or just explain why both leads look unusually serious in cutscenes.

@2203 i think it is both. The trailer keeps showing service history, crew jobs, marina labor and police pressure in the same breath, so they are at least building a more grounded crime loop than a pure sandbox rampage.
