Mojang says Snapshot 26.4 is the last gameplay-focused update before the next game drop, with Calcite variants, the Flurry disc and UI accessibility changes.

The calcite set is practical, not just decorative. Pillars, slabs, stairs and walls plus Stonecutter support means builders do not have to sit there hand-crafting every variant, and the polished/bricks chain gives enough texture variety for clean bases or cave builds. I also like that Mojang is bundling it under the same block family with a clear behaviour label, because that usually makes future additions easier to follow. The keyboard navigation is the bigger long-term change though, even if Creative Inventory is still missing from it.

@Stefanrogue the polished calcite bricks are the part i would actually use, yeah. plain calcite can look a bit rough in survival, but the brick version sounds like an easy white wall block for snowy houses.

I am more interested in the slot narration details than the blocks. Reading out armour, fuel and potion slots plus row and column should make crafting screens much less guessy, especially for kids or anyone using no mouse.

The narration bit is the most useful part to me too, because it is not just button focus – it tells you what each slot actually is. That makes the crafting table and stonecutter feel a lot less like trial and error.

The purple Realms buttons stood out more than i expected. weird to see that tiny UI colour change sitting next to a whole accessibility push and new block set, but i guess that is how these snapshots go now.
