Riot is taking the reflect off Mel’s Rebuttal [W] and moving power into scaling, passive stack play and later-fight value ahead of Patch 26.22.

Read the full story. What do you think?

The reflect had to go sooner or later. Riot keeping projectile denial but dropping the actual spell bounce is probably the only version that doesnt turn every big ult into a coinflip.

I get the logic, but I think the bigger story is the power shift. If they really move strength into passive stacks and ult scaling, that says the live version was too lane-centric from the start, not just too frustrating.

Mel was disgusting on release, then everyone acted surprised when good players abused her kit. The reflect was flashy, sure, but the lane damage and anti-carry pressure were the real problem for me.

yeah, the article basically says that without saying it. W was the loud part, but the early stats and how much she could shut down specific champs sound like the actual balance nightmare.

What i like is that Riot is at least trying to give something back instead of just gutting her. Q refund on champion hit and more ult cooldown scaling is the kind of compensation that can work if they dont overdo the numbers.

same, though i'm still side-eyeing any midscope where they say 'later fights' because that usually means a champ gets either useless or weirdly raid bossy. if they make W a proper shield and keep the stack play meaningful, maybe it lands okay.
