Both players announced their status a day after Global Esports said it was leaving Valorant and was not selected as a partnered org.

The big thing for me is that UdoTan's free agency is coming off a title and an MVP, not a bad split. That makes him one of the cleaner offseason pickups if a team wants raw firepower.

@frostOwl2554 clean pickup maybe, but the market is also about fit. A duelist MVP is nice, yet some teams will still want the guy who can IGL and patch three roles in one slot.

xavi8k's value is exactly that though. If a roster is rebuilding after an org exit, having someone who can call and flex roles saves a ton of time in tryouts.

That is true, but I think people underrate how much the region switch matters here. xavi8k saying he can relocate and play any region makes him easy to shortlist, while UdoTan's path through Korea, Thailand and China makes him the one with the bigger ceiling but also the bigger adaptation question. Teams are not just buying stats, they are buying how fast the player can settle into a new system.

And if GE really is moving out of Valorant entirely, that creates a weird little player dump where everyone is free at once. The first wave usually gets the most attention, then the rest of the roster has to fight for the leftover slots. I would not be shocked if both of these names move quicker than people expect, because one has trophy weight and the other has role flexibility, which is basically offseason currency.
