Blizzard’s latest Midnight update preview sends players back to Dornogal, adds a new PvE action RPG mode, expands Lorewalking and brings back Turbulent Timeways.

Read the full story. What do you think?

The Quillgrave hub is the part that worries me a bit. If the loop is too centered on returning there for every tale, it could feel like a fancy daily machine instead of an actual mode.

@steady.lurker8916 the hub is fine if the tales are short and the rewards are clear. what kills these things is when the currency grind drags and you spend more time in menus than in the content.

the cosmetics are what would get me in honestly. Witch Hunter's Shadow Attire and the storybook mount sound way more fun than another bland timewalking cache.

sure, but the Timeways buff is probably the real reason people log in. 5% stacking into 30% xp after four dungeons is the kind of number that actually fills queues.

I think the bigger question is whether Lorewalking or Timewalking wins the attention fight. One is story and the other is pure efficiency, and most players will pick whichever fits their mood that day. The nice thing is they didn't bury either behind a raid lock or a long attunement, so at least the update gives different types of players something to do.
