Supercell has opened the Portal Panic Medal Event in Clash of Clans, bringing portals to the Home Village, adding Sour Elixir and Rift Medals, and introducing new Epic Equipment for the Minion Prince. The event is available to players at Town Hall 6 and above. After it ends, the Trader’s Event tab and the Event Building stay available for two more days, until October 27 at 08:00 UTC.

The setup starts with a missing pendant, a stressed Builder Imp, and Sour Elixir spilling through the rifts. Players collect Sour Elixir in Home Village battles, pour it into the Sour Elixir Fountain, progress through the Event Track, and spend Rift Medals in the Trader Shop before the shop closes. Supercell says the event loop is built around that exchange: battle, fill the fountain, unlock rewards, then trade medals for items.

Builder Imp sits at the center of the event. Supercell says the Sour Elixir Fountain collects the elixir brought back from battle and lets players access the Event Track. Rift Medals are earned by moving through that track, and the Trader Shop uses them as currency for event rewards. The announcement also says players can unlock the Event Pass for extra rewards and a faster grind through the track.

The event schedule has two time windows. Portal Panic is live now, and the event’s follow-up access runs through October 27 at 08:00 UTC. Separately, the Portal Pendant boost runs from October 20 at 08:00 UTC to October 25 at 08:00 UTC, when the equipment is boosted to its maximum level for five days. That boost is available at Town Hall 9 and above.

Portal Pendant gives Minion Prince a recall tool

The main reward is the Portal Pendant, a new Epic Equipment item for the Minion Prince. Supercell describes it as the pendant that started the whole mess. Its effect opens a cosmic rift that recalls the Minion Prince and nearby friendly troops and Heroes back to the army bar, where they can be deployed again elsewhere on the battlefield.

The recalled units return partially healed and with a temporary speed boost. The Minion Prince is healed instantly whenever the portal activates. If he would take fatal damage, the portal triggers on its own and saves him. Supercell says upgrades increase the portal’s radius, Recall Capacity, healing, and the duration of the speed boost.

The event shop includes the Portal Pendant along with other rewards. Supercell lists Epic Equipment for the Barbarian King, Archer Queen, Grand Warden, Royal Champion, and Minion Prince, plus cursed decorations such as the Coin Collector and the Portal Staff. The shop also includes Books, Runes, the Shovel of Obstacles, Wall Rings, Builder Potions, Power Potions, Research Potions, Pet Potions, Resource Potions, Clocktower Potions, and bulk Elixir, Gold, and Dark Elixir.

Totem Thrower joins the seasonal troop roster

Portal Panic also adds a new temporary troop to the Event Track: the Totem Thrower. Supercell says it is a ground-targeting unit with high damage per second at 6 tiles of range. Its first attack, and every fourth attack after that, throws a cursed totem instead of a rock. That attack stuns nearby defenses and drops a stationary Tiny Totem that soaks damage until it crumbles away.

The rest of the seasonal roster comes from returning spooky-season troops, all unlocked through the Event Track:

  • Lavaloon prioritizes Air Defenses, scatters bombs on the way to its target, spawns Lavaloon Pups on impact, and explodes for heavy area damage when destroyed.
  • Witch Golem targets defenses on the ground, summons Skeletons while it walks, and bursts into Big Boys when destroyed.
  • Royal Ghost stays untargetable for the first 12 seconds after deployment, passes through walls, and slows whatever he hits.
  • Giant Skeleton targets defenses, absorbs heavy damage, and detonates for massive area damage when it falls.

Supercell says these units are part of the event track rather than permanent additions. Totem Thrower is the new arrival, while the other four fill out the rest of the spooky-season lineup.

Trader Shop rewards cover more than equipment

Rift Medals earned from the Event Track can be spent in the Trader Shop on a broad list of rewards. Supercell says the shop is stacked with hero equipment, decorations, magic items, potions, and resources. The result is an event economy that gives players several ways to use medals, depending on whether they want progression, cosmetics, or materials.

The announcement also gives a clear reason to keep working through the event after the main rewards are unlocked: the Portal Pendant is tied to the event, but the shop remains open for a short time after the event ends. That extra window, running until October 27 at 08:00 UTC, is the last chance to spend Rift Medals before the Trader’s Event tab and Event Building disappear again.

Portal Panic keeps the focus on movement and recovery rather than raw damage alone. The Portal Pendant lets the Minion Prince pull units back into the army bar, the Totem Thrower brings a new temporary troop to the track, and the shop offers a long list of rewards to chase during the event’s run. Players at Town Hall 6 and above can enter now and start collecting Sour Elixir in battle.

Town Hall 6+ is nice for once. at least newer alts dont get locked out of the whole event, even if the real prize is probably the minion prince stuff at th9+

the Totem Thrower actually sounds fun for once. i had a war hit earlier this week where my queen walked into two hidden teslas and just melted, so a unit that drops a tiny shield thing would have saved me a lot of rage. the stun on every fourth attack is weird, but at least it is not just another boring ground troop with big numbers.
