Blizzard posted a new World of Warcraft hotfix list on October 21, 2026, covering Midnight, Mists of Pandaria Classic, Season of Discovery, Burning Crusade Classic, WoW Classic Era, and Hardcore. The update rolls together bug fixes, quest corrections, dungeon and raid tuning, and a set of PvP changes led by the return of uncapped Conquest and Bloody Tokens.
Some of the changes took effect immediately, while others may need realm restarts. Blizzard also said a few issues would still require a client-side patch rather than a hotfix. The list spans nearly every major corner of the game, but the largest set of adjustments targets Midnight scenarios and delves, where Blizzard fixed progression blockers, reward issues, and several combat bugs.
Midnight scenarios get progression fixes
Several hotfixes focus on the Labyrinth of Kindo’jan and related content. Players can now speak to Kinduru in De Empire’s Rest antechamber to leave the labyrinth during the Kindo’jan scenario, and the lever that starts A Golden Opportunity in the Labyrinth of Kindo’jan now works for players level 80 and above. Blizzard also fixed the L00T RAID-R Mini so it can be used in a group inside the labyrinth, and later noted that the mini can now be used more than once while inside the instance.
Blizzard extended the availability of the Fabled: Let Me Solo Him: Kindo’jan achievement, which can now be earned until weekly maintenance during the week of October 27. The same scenario received several other repairs, including a fix for a bug that could prevent Fools and Curses from completing, an issue that could stop the scenario from completing when Kindo’jan reached 1 health, and a problem where the pit boss could despawn or fail to spawn in Returning the Bounty. Blizzard also fixed a case where players could not complete the initial bag interaction, and another where Hording Looters would stop spawning.
Other Kindo’jan and delve fixes include the following:
- Players can now hold up to 4 stacks of Carrying a Jan’alai Tear, up from 1.
- Spirit Conduit Loa powers can no longer be used during Kindo’jan’s fight.
- The Loa-Blessed Wayfarer mount and Loa-Blessed Victory toy are now granted after speaking with Kinduru if they were missed from the Ancestral Bounty chest.
- Scenario bosses should now give credit if defeated a second time on the same run.
- Players should no longer fall through the map in The Speaker’s Chamber area.
- Ancient Foes in the Vaults of Atal’Utek now properly award Primordial Venom Motes in raid groups.
Blizzard also repaired a few related quest and encounter issues elsewhere in Midnight content. The furbolgs for Not Quite Nalorakk have “returned from their hibernation,” the objective for A Nebulous Endeavour now completes the next time a character spends a Nebulous Voidcore on any Season 2 bonus roll source, and the Voidstorm quest To Be Changed should now be completable. The update also adds a visual indicator for the safe zone around barrels in Murder Row after Blizzard changed how close players need to stand to count as hidden behind one.
Developers’ notes: “With the fix, players must stand closer to a barrel to be protected.”
PvP currencies, rewards, and item rules change
Blizzard also changed the pace of current PvP rewards. Conquest and Bloody Tokens are now uncapped, and the Spoils of War buff is active again, increasing Conquest gains by 50% and Honor gains by 40% in Battlegrounds and Arenas. The Venomous Equipment Chest is now available from the conquest quartermaster, Irissa Bloodstar.
Several item and reward rules shifted alongside that update. The Ancient Hash’ey Battle Art glove enchantments can now be applied to Warbound Until Equipped items, and the maximum item level for the Ancient Hash’ey Battle Art enchantment has been raised to 344 from 334. Blizzard also lowered the level requirement for Impressive Treasure Chest, Impressive Treasure Pile, and Impressive Treasure Trove loot from 90 to 80.
A few reward bugs were fixed as well. Ascendant Venomstones are now available after completing Ascending with Venomstones, while the Ancient Hash’ey Battle Art enchantment effects should no longer trigger outside of delves and The Labyrinth of Kindo’jan. Blizzard also corrected a display issue with Nebulous Voidcache bonus roll previews, which had stopped updating as items were acquired and removed from consideration.
Dungeon and raid tuning across multiple zones
The hotfix list also includes a broad set of encounter adjustments for delves, dungeons, and raids. Blizzard reduced a long list of boss abilities across older content and current zones, while also changing several mechanics in Midnight encounters. In The Venomous Abyss, Sszorak now takes five seconds longer to reach 100 rage on Mythic difficulty, and in The Coiled Altar the first phase now spawns fewer orbs and Virulent Mutations on Mythic. Manifestations of Dread now show their red glow immediately when they fixate, despawn if their target dies, and are easier to detect and stun.
Blizzard also adjusted a number of other bosses and abilities, including:
- Zaen Bladesorrow’s Fire Bomb damage reduced by 33% in Murder Row.
- Primal Serpent’s Piercing Hiss damage reduced by 25%.
- Ritual Chieftain’s Blood Sacrifice healing absorb reduced by 12%.
- Blazebound Firestorm health reduced by 12.5%, with its Inferno and periodic damage also reduced.
- Several enemies in The Blinding Vale, Ruby Life Pools, and Temple of Sethraliss received health or damage reductions.
Blizzard also made class-specific corrections. For Priests, Sanctified Ground no longer interrupts channeled spells such as Divine Hymn when it applies to allies. Druids received fixes for Rebirth in Bear Form, Heart of the Wild in Bear Form, Persistence armor, and Nature’s Bounty interacting with Abundance. The update also notes that Dundun has returned and once again hides within Bountiful delves.
Additional fixes cover faction mount visibility, a quest log issue with Battle for Azeroth quests appearing outside that content, and an issue where some NPCs were missing during De Legend of de Hash’ey. Blizzard also corrected health scaling for some creatures and bosses when players were grouped, fixed a rare terrain fall in Nalorakk’s Rest, and addressed cases where kill credit or boss resets were not working properly. The hotfix post ends by listing more encounter-specific damage reductions and mechanical changes across Midnight content, with no separate release date beyond the October 21 update itself.
Blizzard really said ‘hotfix the entire game’ and still left us with client-side patch stuff. At least the Kindo’jan mess is getting cleaned up instead of just being ignored for a month.
uncapped Conquest is back lol
Uncapped Conquest is a mistake
Nah, capped currency just punishes late starters and alts. If the season’s already messy, letting people grind at their own pace is the least bad fix.
fair, alts do get shafted by caps. i still think it turns week one into a no-life fiesta, but yeah the alt catchup angle is real.
does the Kindo’jan achievement extension mean people can still brute force it next week?
