The new page replaces the Individual tab with six visualizations, while player tables gain Eco Swing, Round Swing and a net-kills metric.

Read the full story. What do you think?

The net kills change is the part that makes sense to me. KD based numbers always felt too blunt in CS2, and if HLTV is already splitting duels, impact and consistency into separate views, then the leaderboard should stop pretending one flat ratio explains everything. I also like that all-time kill differential is still on the leaderboard page for people who want the old style. That feels like a decent compromise instead of just deleting it and moving on.

I agree on the compromise, but I think the bigger test is whether casual readers can tell the difference between Eco Swing and Round Swing at a glance. If they have to hover every bar to understand what changed, the page will mostly be used by the same small group who already read full stat deep dives. Still, the red triangle warning for small samples is a nice touch because it should stop some of the worst overreactions. HLTV has been moving towards more context for a while, so this fits that direction.

Casuals do not need to understand every stat right away. They just need one place where the actual duel quality and round impact are separated from raw totals. The old profile tabs were fine for a quick glance, but they were not great when you wanted to compare a lurker to an opener or see why a player looked better in losses than wins. This new layout at least gives people the option to go deeper without opening three different pages.

That sounds lovely until someone uses the radar to declare a player 'better' because the circle is bigger and the colour is prettier. My favourite part is that HLTV has basically built a more elaborate way for fans to argue in circles about one rifle kill versus one flash assist. Still, the role average marker and the map split view are probably the only bits that will survive contact with actual human reading habits.

Pretty much. The stats are useful, but only if people stop treating one chart like a verdict.
