Gentle Mates looked better when the game got messy, and that is usually what decides these late bracket matches. Shopify had the stronger starts on multiple maps, but their post-plant rounds slipped too often once Gentle Mates found confidence on defense. The lower final should be tight if KRÜ can keep forcing those same slow, awkward rounds.

"their post-plant rounds slipped" is the whole story for me. If you lose Split after a 10-2 start and then let Sunset and Summit drift away, it is hard to call yourself the more stable team, no matter the seeding.

I think the pistols mattered more than people want to admit. Gentle Mates turning those into momentum on Sunset and Summit probably changed how Shopify approached the later rounds.
