Riot's Worlds patch adjusts pro staples, trims Hextech Rocketbelt and changes replay access while adding more old champions to Classic.

The replay lock makes sense from a security angle, but it is still a big blow to anyone who used replays for coaching or review. Riot seems happy to trade convenience for control here, and I can already see the ecosystem around analysis tools getting thinner. For a Worlds patch, that is a pretty heavy systems change to sneak in alongside balance work.

And somehow the people most affected are not the cheaters, it is the players trying to study matchups. I get why Riot is doing it, but this feels like one of those changes where the honest users lose a feature because the bad actors found a new toy. The client replay only fix is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.

Honestly the bigger story for me is still Classic getting another batch of old kits. Old Caitlyn and Irelia are the kind of thing people will load up just to remember how weird the game used to feel, even if it is not balanced at all. Worlds tuning is important, but nostalgia updates keep players talking in a different way.

That is true, but I think Riot knows exactly what it is doing with those return kits. Worlds patch gives them the competitive pruning, while Classic gives the rest of us something that feels fresh without changing Ranked. It is a neat split, even if the replay restriction will annoy a lot of people for a while.
