eight-week milestones make sense for a game this huge. you want constant checks before systems drift too far, not one giant panic at the end

Rob Nelson making project management sound like a spiritual journey is kind of hilarious, but he is right that big worlds live or die on those little course corrections. if the NPC team and room details actually land, that is the stuff people remember long after launch day debates about graphics

the room detail bit got me more than the milestone stuff. if they are thinking about who sits where and what is left on the table, that is exactly the kind of background work RP players notice in five seconds. the risk is still performance though – all that atmosphere means nothing if busy areas hitch

the real question is whether all this review cycle stuff helps the game run better. big world building is cool, but if the frame pacing tanks in the city then the process does not matter much

i think it helps more with quality than raw performance, but the two are linked. if they keep testing sections in chunks, they can catch bad NPC spawns, broken paths and crowded areas earlier, which should save some pain later. still, Rockstar has to prove it on launch, not in interviews

Rockstar proving anything at launch? bold strategy. still, chunked testing is better than the classic 'we'll patch it after everyone has paid' plan
