Riot’s latest update also brings Range-in-queue warmups, a redesigned competitive experience, and Valorant Console launches in Australia and New Zealand.

The home and lobby merge is probably the most useful part of this patch for me. I spend enough time bouncing between party setup, mode select, and checking what map pool we're on, so having that in one place should make the client feel less fragmented. The only thing I'm wary of is Riot turning it into another tile wall, because every extra panel tends to become noise after a few updates.

@shadow1988 i think same. old client was too many clicks. but i hope they dont make it more busy with events and pickems everywhere.

If they really want less clutter, they should prove it with the competitive hub too. Performance Score replacing ACS is fine, but if MVP and scoreboard position now hinge on another opaque number, people are still going to call it hidden elo in a different coat.

The score is whatever, the bigger issue is how much of this feels like Riot stapling new labels onto old systems. Agent Mastery, Rank Legacy, Performance Score – all of it sounds like a lot until you realise most players just want clean queues and decent servers. I do like that Accolades start fresh though, because at least that avoids older data muddying the new system from day one.

Agreed on the fresh start part. If historical data counted, the whole thing would be weird for people who swapped mains or only got serious recently, and then the trophy case idea would be pointless.

That is my main concern too. If the new systems are linked to current performance and not ancient stats, maybe it is useful, but I want to see how it works with short queue times and whether the Range queue feature actually helps warmup instead of interrupting it.
