Riot’s latest patch also standardizes several buff terms, adjusts Clove, and fixes ability, spectator, and platform-specific issues.

I like the idea behind Haste and Snapshot, because the old buff text was messy, but I do worry Riot is adding another layer of jargon to a game that already asks a lot from new players. Standardising the labels is good on paper, yet if the tooltips only help after you hover everything mid-match, most people will still just learn by feel. The Warden buff is the bigger practical change for me, though, since that gun has always sat in a weird spot for price and handling.

The wording cleanup is actually useful for stats and practice. If Stim and Haste are separated properly, then balance discussions get a lot less vague, especially for agents like Neon and Brimstone.

yeah and it makes clips easier to read too. no more arguing if something is speed buff or fire rate buff when the fight already looks crazy

Warden buff is the real test. If the first bullets are smoother but it still feels like a budget rifle with attitude, people will skip it after one week. But if the handling change actually makes burst fights cleaner, then 2900 might finally make sense.
