the battery drone is the clearest win here. cooldown-based scouting always felt clunky, especially when you wanted to move fast after a reset. this should make Crypto feel less like a setup tax and more like an actual rotation tool

i agree, and the Sentry Mode sounds even better. if it tags enemies on sight for the squad, that could make random teamfights much easier for Diamond games where people never call anything anyway

and then the lobby gets to hear the alarm from Strongholds while Crypto is marking everyone through walls. respawn really said

the only thing i am not sold on is the battery part if it ends up being too fiddly. if the recharge rhythm is awkward, people will just treat it like another resource to hoard instead of using it actively. still better than a long cooldown, though

Strongholds sound like the one part here that could make map control matter again. noise, delay, and cover is a proper choice – crack it open now or make someone else take the blame later
