Blizzard is offering the Pouch of Violet Dust toy to players who watch eligible World of Warcraft streams on Twitch during a limited November window.

The one useful bit here is that viewers can switch channels without resetting progress. That at least makes the four-hour watch less annoying than a pure single-stream grind.

True, but the event-only part still bugs me. If Blizzard wants people excited for launch, making the toy vanish after early December feels more like pressure than celebration.

Switching channels is nice, but the seven-day cooldown after relinking is the real gotcha. One password reset and suddenly the whole drop setup becomes a headache.

I get the frustration, but it does fit the holiday-style launch vibe. A temporary campfire buff is not something I would keep forever anyway, and the shared bonus makes it more social than a solo cosmetic.

That cooldown is classic account-link spaghetti. I also dislike that Twitch apps on consoles do not support drops, because that is exactly where some people would rather idle a stream.

the console app thing is proper dumb yeah. watch it on your phone, then hop on the pc later and hope it arrives in 24 hours, very slick system
