Wowhead reports that enemy melee swings in Midnight can make players look far closer to death than they really are before the health bar corrects itself.

This feels like the worst kind of bug because nothing is actually dying, but everyone plays like they are. A fake spike on a tank frame can burn defensives faster than real damage sometimes.

tanks and healers are already playing whack-a-mole, now the UI is griefing them too. if this is in raid frames and addons, it is not a niche issue at all.

That is what gets me too – if the same bad readout shows on the default frame and addons, it is probably under the hood, not some weak aura bug. Blizzard needs to stop the fake plunge before it even renders.

Midnight already had the fake barrels, now melee swings do this? starting to feel like every health bar in the expansion is running a side quest.

And people still say interface bugs are harmless. In a dungeon or raid, one bad frame is enough to waste a potion, a stone, or an external.

That is true, but at least it is not real damage. If the bar corrects fast enough and the combat log stays right, most players will adapt after a few pulls.
