Patch 12.1.5 aims to make Collapsing Star easier to use, reduce Void-Scarred’s awkward melee loop, and move key Devourer talents into more accessible spots.

The cancel penalty removal is the real win here. Long casts in WoW always get messy when bosses move or mechanics force you off target, so a 5 second lockout just felt extra mean.

@lucy_85 yeah, but Blizzard also loves turning 'feels better' into 'now every raid build has to press this on cd'. i wanna see if the rotation actually opens up or just gets another mandatory button

The middle gate move suggests they know it was mandatory already. if anything, shifting The Hunt and Eradicate out of the capstone row is the part that might make buildcraft less gross

that's the bit i like too. when a tree needs three core effects just to function, the layout is the problem as much as the tuning

and the weird part is they still kept the class identity split intact – Void-Scarred gets pushed toward casting Collapsing Star, while Annihilator stays the other path. if the live numbers don't overshoot, this could be the first pass that actually fixes the flow instead of just moving the same pain to a different row. biggest test will be whether Collapsing Star feels like a payoff button again or just another thing you hold for windows
