Roblox says its third annual Creator Showdown will stream live from São Paulo, Brazil, and marks the company’s “first-ever international esports showdown.” Eight Brazilian creators, split into teams of two, will compete across five Roblox games for a first-place prize of R$50,000.

The event builds on last April’s Creator Showdown, when eight Roblox creators battled for the Champion’s Crown and $50,000 across some of the platform’s top competitive games. This time, Roblox is extending the format beyond its earlier live shows and guaranteeing payouts for every team, with second place getting R$25,000, third place R$15,000 and fourth place R$10,000.

Brazilian and English streams start at 5 pm BRT

The Creator Showdown livestream begins at 5 pm BRT, or 1 pm PDT. Roblox says the Brazilian broadcast will run in Portuguese on its Brazilian YouTube and TikTok channels, while the English stream will appear on its official YouTube, Twitch and TikTok channels.

The company is using separate host lineups for each language feed. In Brazil, the show will be co-hosted by LimaMosca, MoonyCaroll and Ana Xisdê. For English-speaking viewers, Roblox says the stream will be co-hosted by Febatista and WaffleTrades.

Roblox describes LimaMosca as an actor and dancer known in Brazil’s gaming community for content around DOORS, Dandy’s World and Animal Hospital. The company says he has served as an official host and caster for Roblox events across Latin America for several years. MoonyCaroll, Roblox says, is a dancer, actor and creator known for her blue hair and strong on-camera presence, and she made her first appearance as a caster at Gamescom last year. Ana Xisdê is described as an internationally recognized creator who turned her interest in gaming into an award-winning professional career and has taken that experience from São Paulo to major stages around the world.

Roblox calls Febatista a popular Brazilian YouTube streamer. WaffleTrades is described as a streamer known for Roblox events, avatar items and giveaways.

Five Roblox games will decide the winners

The tournament will unfold across five Roblox experiences, each built around a different style of play. Roblox frames the show as a live elimination event that moves from shooters to survival horror, sports, music creation and battle royale.

  • Showdown: Anime FPS Jutsu Shooter — an anime-style first-person shooter with precision gunplay and jutsu abilities. Roblox says teams will compete in an esports arena built into a Shibuya-inspired hub.
  • Clean Crew — a multiplayer roguelite survival horror game that mixes cooperative play, unexpected enemy spawns and boss fights. Teams must clean abandoned apartments while avoiding hazards and fighting pests.
  • FIFA Super Soccer — an official FIFA-partnered soccer game with fast-paced action and customization. Roblox says teams will need strong dribbling and passing to win.
  • Beat Battles — a competitive music-creation and remixing game that uses stage battles, voting and special audio effects. Players will try to create the best beat with a custom piano roll or remix audio loops into tracks.
  • Killstreak Battle Royale — a fast-paced arcade first-person shooter and battle royale built around fluid movement, tactical gunplay and consecutive-elimination rewards. Teams parachute onto a map, gather gear and weapons, survive a shrinking zone and fight to be the last team standing.

Roblox says the lineups will test different skills in quick succession, from precision shooting and coordination to passing, remixing and survival. The event format keeps the spotlight on team play, with each pairing needing to adapt as the game types change.

The announcement says the full lineup includes four teams, but the text provided names only one pairing: Lucas Clash ON and Canal Clash War. Roblox does not list the remaining teams in the source text.

Brazil is the focus, but the stream is built for a wider audience

Roblox says it is bringing Creator Showdown to São Paulo to celebrate “the imagination that Brazilian creators and players bring to these games.” The company presents the broadcast as both a local event and an international one, with Portuguese and English feeds running at the same time.

That setup gives the tournament a broader reach than the company’s earlier live shows. The creators competing in Brazil will be playing for cash prizes, but the event also serves as a showcase for Roblox’s competitive titles and for the creators the company has chosen to front them. The mix of local hosts, English-language co-hosts and game variety points to a show built to work for fans inside Brazil and viewers elsewhere.

Roblox’s announcement closes by saying it is excited to bring the Creator Showdown to São Paulo and to highlight Brazilian imagination in a live elimination tournament. The company says the competition will run tomorrow, with the winner decided after all five games are played.

R$50,000 for the top spot is not bad at all, but the real odd part is the guaranteed payouts for every team. That feels way more serious than the usual creator show stuff.

Yeah, that’s why i mentioned it. for creators it’s less of a winner-take-all circus, and it makes the lower placings worth showing up for.

fair, i just think the payout ladder makes the whole thing less fake-esports and more like an actual bracket. we’ll see if the games hold up.

fair enough, we’ll see if the format carries. if the mode jumps feel smooth, it could actually be pretty fun instead of a chaos pile.

lol i can handle tabs, i just don’t trust roblox to keep momentum with that many genre swaps. could still work if the matches are short.
