Blizzard says players can earn the housing decor item by watching four hours of eligible World of Warcraft streams on Twitch.

Blizzard Entertainment will give World of Warcraft players a new Twitch Drop on October 13, offering the Cuddly Gold-Colored Grrgle Housing decor item to anyone who watches four hours of eligible streams during the promotion.

The official announcement says the drop runs from October 13 at 10:00 am PDT until November 3 at 10:00 am PST. Players must watch eligible World of Warcraft content on Twitch to earn the item, and Blizzard says the reward can be claimed across participating regions including North America, Latin America, Europe, The Middle East, Africa, Japan, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

How the Grrgle Twitch Drop works

Blizzard says the reward is earned by watching four hours of eligible World of Warcraft content while the drop is active. Progress can be made on any eligible channel in the World of Warcraft category, so viewers can switch between streams without losing progress. Watching more than one channel at once does not speed up progress.

To take part, players must link their Twitch and Battle.net accounts at the Battle.net connections page. Blizzard also says anyone who has changed a password or made other changes to a Twitch or Battle.net account will need to relink. When accounts are relinked, there is a seven-day cooldown before a new Twitch account can be linked again.

After claiming the reward on Twitch, players need to log into the Battle.net region where they want the item delivered. Blizzard says the first region logged into is where the item will be sent, and it can take up to 24 hours for the reward to appear in game after it is claimed.

The company also notes that the drop must be claimed either from the channel being watched or through the Drops Inventory menu on Twitch. According to Blizzard, rewards claimed without a linked Battle.net account will expire seven days later.

Where the decor item can be used

The Cuddly Gold-Colored Grrgle is a housing decor item, tying the Twitch reward to World of Warcraft’s Housing feature rather than to combat or cosmetics on the character sheet. Blizzard says the item is not available in World of Warcraft Classic games, requires a World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time, and can only be placed through the Housing feature, which itself requires access to World of Warcraft: Midnight.

That makes this drop one of the first official promotions to point directly at the Housing system. Blizzard’s announcement also says that players who claim the new item will be able to buy additional copies later from Dennia Silvertongue in Silvermoon City. Extra copies will also be sold by Tuuran in Stormwind and Gabbi in Orgrimmar, near the Trading Post.

For players following the broader rollout of Midnight-related systems, the new drop sits alongside Blizzard’s recent push around the expansion’s feature set. GAMER2GO recently covered the studio’s Patch 12.1.5 changes, and this Twitch promotion continues that run of updates tied to the same period.

Who can claim the drop and on what devices

Blizzard says the promotion supports PC and Mac web browsers as well as the Twitch app on Android and iOS. Twitch apps on game consoles, smart TVs, and other TV apps do not support drops.

The announcement also spells out the streamer side of the promotion. Creators only need to have their Twitch and Battle.net accounts linked and be opted into Drops, according to Blizzard’s instructions. That means the event should be visible across any eligible World of Warcraft stream rather than limited to a specific partner list.

Because the promotion spans multiple regions and time zones, Blizzard provided both North American and UK timing in its official announcement. The company lists the start time as October 13 at 10:00 am PDT and the end time as November 3 at 10:00 am PST.

The full terms also leave Blizzard room to alter the event if needed. The company says it has the right to change, pause, or cancel the Twitch Drop and its terms if it cannot run as planned because of technical issues or other unexpected factors beyond its control.

For players who want the item, the practical steps are straightforward: link the accounts, watch four hours of eligible World of Warcraft streams during the promotion window, claim the drop on Twitch, then log into the correct Battle.net region and wait for delivery. Once the item is owned, additional copies can be picked up in Silvermoon City, Stormwind, or Orgrimmar.

Blizzard’s announcement does not say how the Cuddly Gold-Colored Grrgle fits into any larger housing set or whether more housing-themed Twitch rewards are planned, but it places the decor piece squarely in the game’s ongoing Housing rollout and gives players a limited-time way to add it before November 3.

What Blizzard says you need to do

  • Link your Battle.net and Twitch accounts through Battle.net Connections.
  • Watch four hours of eligible World of Warcraft content on Twitch.
  • Claim the drop on Twitch within the event window.
  • Log into the Battle.net region where you want the item delivered.
  • Use PC/Mac web, or the Twitch app on Android or iOS; console and TV apps are not supported.

Four hours is not much, but the no multi-stream speed up part kills the easy farm. I would still rather do this than chase some random drop from a partner only stream.

I don’t think this one is that bad, honestly. It’s cosmetic, it is account linked, and you can get extra copies later from vendors, so it does not sound like a one-time panic farm. The annoying bit is still the four hours and the region stuff, not the item itself. If they start putting proper housing sets behind watch time every patch though, then yeah, that gets gross fast.

fair, the extra copies part does make it less toxic. I just don’t trust the slope here, because once they see people will sit in streams for decor, the next reward gets a little shinier and the timer gets a little longer. Still, at least this isn’t some power thing or an upgrade token. Cosmetic fomo is the least bad version of it, even if it is still fomo.

yeah, that’s the bit i worry about too. if it stays at silly decor and not player power, i can live with it, but Blizzard do love seeing what people will tolerate lol
