The October update brings the Ghost Ship event, Pirate Coins, new social tools and a higher Rebirth cap to Brainrot Royale.

the Ghost Ship feels like the first Brainrot Royale thing that sounds like an actual event instead of just another reskin. pumpkin eggs, pirate coins, disguise item – it is a bit much, but at least there is some chaos to work with. my only worry is whether the limited tier ends up making the mode even more snowbally for whoever controls the centre first.

i actually like that they mixed stealing, defending and movement into the same event. the broom carrying another player is the sort of silly thing that makes squad games memorable, and the dash knockdown gives defenders a real answer instead of just watching their loot get walked away. what matters more is whether the Pirate Coin drops are balanced around risky plays instead of pure farming. if rare Brainrots and eggs give the best return, the event should stay active for longer because people will fight over them.

you had me at 'sorting sim.' the 64 cap plus extra rebirth slots reads like a pretty standard mobile move: make collections bigger, then add friction so you feel the need to organise constantly. i do think the Star Upgrade idea is healthier than instantly dumping dupes, though, because at least there is a reason to keep a copy around instead of treating every duplicate like pocket lint. the real test is whether the higher-star Brainrots feel meaningfully better or just more stuff to stare at.

i'm with you on the broom being the most fun-looking part, but i do wonder if the Ghost Ship itself will end up dominating every match once people learn the timing. if it alternates with Boss Room then maybe there is enough rotation to keep it from getting stale, and the extra social tools make me think World of Wonder is slowly becoming more like a proper community mode. i just want the pumpkin Brainrot stuff to stay goofy and not turn into another min-max grind.
