Blizzard set the global launch date for World of Warcraft: Forever and outlined November rewards, a Talebound PTR demo, and new housing items.

Global launch time being set in stone is the bit I care about most. A single start point helps with server planning, and if they actually want a clean rollout then the tech podcast they mentioned probably matters more than the cosmetic stuff.

Sarge, the Portal Room angle feels bigger to me than it sounds at first. If it actually gives new and returning players a spot to find groups without living in guild chat, that could be the first social feature in a while that isn't just window dressing.

I think the starter and return guides are doing a lot of heavy lifting too. Blizzard has a habit of throwing people into old systems and hoping they remember everything, so having a clean path back into Azeroth is probably more useful than another flashy reward.

The Talebound demo is the bit I'm actually gonna try, because Normal/Veteran/Heroic on the PTR is a decent spread for seeing how the content feels. No subscription needed is clutch as well, since it lets curious players test the opening zone without committing first.
