Blizzard has set World of Warcraft: Forever for a worldwide launch on November 4 at 3:00 p.m. PST. In the same weekly update, the studio also confirmed the return of the Talebound demo on the PTR, previewed November’s sweet-themed Trading Post, and highlighted new mounts and housing decor.
The announcement describes Forever as a permanent home for a reimagined original Azeroth. Players can level to 60 across the original continents, meet other adventurers, and experience a version of WoW that sits alongside modern and Classic WoW. Blizzard says the design centers on community, exploration, and the journey rather than a single end point.
To support the launch, Blizzard published a starter guide for new players and a return guide for people who have been away for years. The starter guide introduces the basics of creating a character, choosing how to play, and learning the essentials while starting at level one. The return guide is aimed at players who want help getting back into Azeroth after a long absence.
Blizzard is also using the week to point players toward the WoW: Forever Podcast: All About Tech. The episode is hosted by Countdown To Classic with special guest Shobek, and Blizzard says it features Senior Game Designer Josh “Aggrend” Greenfield, Lead Software Engineer Ana Resendez, and Principal Software Engineer Frank Williams discussing the technology behind the global launch.
Another launch-facing piece is the WoW Portal Room, which Blizzard describes as a starting point for making connections in Azeroth. The company says it is meant for players looking for familiar company or a new circle of adventurers, with friendships, stories, and shared experiences at the center of the space.
Blizzard is also spotlighting the short story Unbowed. It follows Cormack, a former Scarlet Crusader who is now raised as Forsaken, as he struggles to accept his undead existence. After confronting his past and the beliefs that shaped him, he is left asking whether a Forsaken can still serve the Light.
Midnight’s Talebound demo is live on the PTR
Blizzard says the WoW: Midnight Talebound demo is now live on the PTR. Players can try the Red Hollow introduction, sample three eerie tales, and run the content on Normal, Veteran, or Heroic difficulty. The demo also includes all three classes: Slayer, Inquisitor, and Witch.
The company is inviting players to test the available features and share feedback. No subscription is required, so the demo is open to anyone who wants to try it on the test realm.
The weekly post does not add system requirements, tuning notes, or class changes for the demo. It does make clear, though, that Blizzard wants the PTR version to function as a hands-on preview of Midnight’s early content rather than a closed showcase.

November’s Trading Post goes sweet
November’s Trading Post carries a Sweet Tooth theme. Blizzard says players can earn Trader’s Tender by completing activities and filling out the Traveler’s Log, with the month’s bonus reward set as the Hot Motocross Bunmover 4600 mount.
Blizzard describes that mount with a short line: “When dessert manufacturing meets speed optimization. Intact bun delivery not guaranteed.”
Players can visit the Trading Post vendors in several cities. Blizzard lists T&W, or Tawney and Wilder, just outside the Mage District in Stormwind; the Zen’shiri Trading Post next to Grommash Hold in Orgrimmar; and Trading Posts in Dornogal on the Isle of Dorn and in renewed Silvermoon City. Blizzard says representatives of both Tawney and Wilder and the Zen’shiri Trading Post are open for business in those capital cities as well.
New and returning players can also tour the Trading Post to learn where to find it and how to earn additional Trader’s Tender through the Traveler’s Log. Blizzard says the feature is available to Champions who are just starting out in World of Warcraft and to those coming back after time away.
The Trading Post is not limited to cosmetics tied to the theme. Blizzard also uses the update to point players toward the month’s larger reward pool, which includes the new mount, vendor stock across multiple capital cities, and the standard system for earning currency through in-game activities.
Blizzard adds a haunted mount and new housing packs
The weekly roundup also adds the Living Heartsbane Cauldron Mount to the collection. Blizzard says the mount rises from the remnants of a dark ritual and carries the marks of the witchcraft that awakened it. The company calls it a “delightfully macabre” ride that can take players across Azeroth by ground or sky.
Housing fans get two more additions in the Grimtide Estate and Grimtide Decor Packs. Blizzard says the collection brings a haunted nautical look to World of Warcraft Housing, with the Spirited Grimtide Manse exterior, Spirited Grimtide Foyer interior, and a coordinated set of eerie decor. The theme is presented as the spirit of the sea brought home in a darker style.
Those items join the broader run of October and November World of Warcraft news tied to the coming launch of Forever, the Talebound PTR demo, and the seasonal Trading Post. Blizzard’s update keeps the focus on practical details: when the new version of Azeroth opens, what the demo contains, where to find the Trading Post, and which rewards will be available this month.
The studio closes by asking players to come back each week for more news, stories, and rewards. With the global launch of World of Warcraft: Forever set for November 4, Blizzard is lining up a full slate of content around the release, from a starter guide and return guide to the podcast episode, the portal hub, Talebound on PTR, and the November Trading Post offerings.
Hot Motocross Bunmover 4600 sounds like Blizzard let someone name a toy after a raid mechanic and a snack machine at the same time lol. I can already see people camping Tender for it.
No sub required on the PTR demo is the real smart bit here. If they want fresh and returning players to poke around Red Hollow, taking that paywall out makes way more sense.
Worth coming back for?
