Blizzard published a new World of Warcraft hotfix list for October 27, 2026, mixing class tuning for Midnight with bug fixes across scenarios, items, dungeons, and PvP. The update also makes Conquest and Bloody Tokens uncapped and brings back the Spoils of War buff for Battlegrounds and Arenas.
The hotfixes span Midnight, Mists of Pandaria Classic, Season of Discovery, Burning Crusade Classic, WoW Classic Era, and Hardcore. Blizzard says some changes took effect immediately, while others require realm restarts, and more hotfixes may be added later.
Midnight class tuning leans into healing and burst damage
The biggest class changes focus on Midnight specs, with several PvE-only and PvP-only buffs and nerfs. Blizzard said some of the tuning is aimed at helping underperforming specializations catch up in dungeon play or PvP, while others are targeted rollbacks after earlier changes overshot expectations.
- Feral Druid’s damage done increased by 5% in PvE.
- Restoration Druid’s Verdancy healing increased by 60%, Regrowth healing by 10%, and Improved Swiftmend now increases Swiftmend healing by 40%.
- Marksmanship Hunter’s Trick Shots now increases ricochet damage from Aimed Shot and Rapid Fire by 85%.
- Fire Mage’s damage done increased by 5% in PvE, but was reduced by 5% in PvP.
- Unstable Affliction and Rain of Fire each gained 20% damage in PvE.
- Subtlety Rogue received a significant rollback, with Trickster’s Fazed dropping to 5% from 7%.
- Holy Paladin gained 5% healing in PvP, while Divine Favor now reduces Holy Light’s mana cost by 50%.
- Holy Priest’s Prayer of Healing and Archon talents received multiple PvP buffs.
Blizzard’s note on Restoration Druid said the changes are meant to help it handle burst damage in dungeons, while acknowledging the spec is already performing well in raid settings. For Marksmanship Hunters, the stated goal was to boost area damage effectiveness. On Subtlety Rogue, Blizzard said the compensation buff from the 12.1.5 patch overshot expectations and that Trickster benefited more than Deathstalker.
As with earlier tuning passes, some specs were adjusted specifically for PvP. Unholy Death Knight’s San’layn saw Vampiric Strike reduced by 20% in PvP, while Devourer Demon Hunter’s Collapsing Star gained 20%. Preservation Evoker, Marksmanship Hunter, Frost Mage, Mistweaver Monk, Holy Paladin, Holy Priest, Assassination Rogue, and Restoration Shaman all received targeted arena and battleground changes as well.
PvP gets wider rewards and stronger class incentives
Blizzard also made broader PvP economy changes. Conquest and Bloody Tokens are now uncapped, and the Spoils of War buff is back, increasing Conquest gains by 50% and Honor gains by 40% in Battlegrounds and Arenas. The Venomous Equipment Chest is also available again from the conquest quartermaster, Irissa Bloodstar.
Those reward changes arrive alongside a long list of class-specific PvP updates. Among them, Hunter gains included Kill Shot damage up by 40%, Deathblow’s chance to trigger from Aimed Shot raised to 25%, and Dark Ranger’s Black Arrow damage up by 40%. Frostfire Mage got extra burst through Isothermic Core’s Meteor and Duality’s Pyroblast, both up 20% in PvP, while Conduit of the Celestials Mistweaver received higher healing and absorb values.
Blizzard also nudged several healer specs in different directions. Holy Priest’s Archon tree got improvements to Resonant Energy, Empowered Surges, and Realized Potential in PvP, while Restoration Shaman’s Healing Stream Totem and Stormstream Totem healing increased by 20% in PvP. Enhancement Shaman and Affliction Warlock also received bug fixes tied to Voltaic Blaze, Surging Elements, and Summon Darkglare.

Labyrinth scenarios, dungeon bugs, and item issues get cleaned up
Outside class tuning, Blizzard spent much of the hotfix list on scenario and dungeon problems. Some of the most notable fixes target the Labyrinth and related activities, including a fix for scenarios that were not granting Great Vault credit. Blizzard also corrected issues where the Pit Boss could despawn, where a scenario objective could complete multiple times, and where the Remnant could stop moving briefly in The Wandering.
Several Labyrinth and neighborhood fixes also adjust how encounters and rewards behave. Players can now exit combat with the Shade of Seabreaker Skoloth, the number of chest spawns during that capture has been reduced to one, and the Loa-Blessed Wayfarer mount plus Loa-Blessed Victory toy will now be granted if they were missed from the Ancestral Bounty chest after completing the labyrinth by speaking with Kinduru.
Blizzard also fixed a long list of smaller issues in these areas:
- Shorter character models no longer fall through the floor when respawning in Jan’alai’s Refuge.
- The lever to start A Golden Opportunity in the Labyrinth of Kindo’jan now works for players level 80 and above.
- Players can now hold up to 4 stacks of Carrying a Jan’alai Tear instead of 1.
- The Void Eruption effect on Kith’ix’s armor pieces can no longer hit out-of-combat targets.
- Fabled: Let Me Solo Him: Kindo’jan can now be earned until weekly maintenance during the week of October 27.
- Ascendant Venomstones are now available after completing Ascending with Venomstones.
Other fixes address the Den of Nalorakk, Murder Row, The Venomous Abyss, and The Coiled Altar. Blizzard said Nalorakk’s Echoing Maul could fire in the wrong location, Nibbles’ Fel Spray in Murder Row could hit outside the intended area, and the achievement Watch Out Behind You could not be completed by raid groups larger than 20 players until now. The company also fixed a rare map fall-through issue in The Speaker’s Chamber and corrected a case where some creatures and bosses scaled too high in group play.
More scenario cleanup and a few quality-of-life changes
Blizzard’s final round of fixes includes a handful of quality-of-life adjustments and remaining scenario issues. Holy Paladins no longer have Spreading the Word placing Cleanse on cooldown when casting Blessing of Protection, and Holy Priests no longer have Sanctified Ground interrupting channelled spells such as Divine Hymn when applied to allies.
The update also fixes a display issue with Nebulous Voidcache bonus roll previews, adjusts the availability of the “Fools and Curses” scenario completion, and corrects multiple quest blockers, including “Draw Its Ire” and the Voidstorm quest “To Be Changed.” A note from Blizzard says the list will be updated as additional hotfixes are applied.
Among the last item and encounter fixes, Blizzard says Ascendant Venomstones were made available through the relevant quest completion, the Ancient Hash’ey Battle Art glove enchantments can now be applied to Warbound Until Equipped items, and the furbolgs required for “Not Quite Nalorakk” have returned from their hibernation. Blizzard also added a visual safe-zone indicator for barrels during Murder in a Row, after changing how close players must stand to a barrel to be protected.
uncapped conquest, classic Blizzard panic button
only the cap, mate?
more like they finally noticed the cap was just gatekeeping people from gearing alts. uncapped with Spoils back means the ladder won’t feel dead after week one.
making Conquest uncapped is the only good PvP change here. the rest is just them chasing whatever broke in the last tuning pass.
