The funny part is that the weapon wheel surviving after all those prototypes probably means Rockstar tested every clever idea under the sun and still couldn't beat muscle memory. If players need half a minute to learn a new selector, it stops being an improvement and starts being a tutorial tax.

Maybe, but the actual footage details are still the bigger tell for me. If the scene has spawned objects and dead-eyed NPCs, then the crypto circus is just the wrapper on top of a dev-tool clip.
